Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

After 154 days in England thanks to the dreaded Covid-19 virus I was most certainly due for a trip away. I had a free seven day first class InterRail to use up so was raring to go! Eurostar took me to Paris and I had two winners 22200 to chase at Paris-Nord, one was had easily enough but the other failed to appear. I went to Nevers on new 22326 next morning but a typical SNCF “panne” led to me missing ultra rare 22345 back to Paris, consolation prize was “Infra” 22379 back north. I crossed over to St-Lazare where thankfully 26217 was on the next Cherbourg and taken to Bayeux for 15025 back. Another Infra loco was now also out and this time a winner so I went Châteauroux for it to find a Sybic, so returned to Paris. Found out it was coming up later so gave chase and had it in from Vierzon thankfully, big load fourteen and a healthy loco so finally I managed by first ever “broken nose” electric at 200 km/h so most happy with the day’s results! I then did my first overnight of the year as the Rodez overnight still runs through to Albi on a Friday night, the bed was only €21 extra so a good deal. The four berth couchette was good and I did manage some sleep. A pair of 67/4 forward from Brive-la-Gaillarde and I was able to see the run round at Rodez. A DMU to Toulouse and then new 7265 to Montauban for new 7254 to Marseille being very rewarding! I did two trips out from Marseille next day with Carcassonne first and Nîmes the second with surprise winner 7266 taking me back to Marseille. Up to Lyon next for two nights and did a 22 to Genève and a cart to Annamesse and the Annecy for a couple of 22s back to Lyon. Back to Genève again next day and to Visp and the MGB to Zermatt but no further as poor views of the Matterhorn. I went back on SBB to Basel and a Sybic to Mulhouse for one night and then DB to Stuttgart next day and a night in Ludwigsburg. Up to Hannover and after a night there into Benelux and three nights at Antwerpen but staying mostly on NS metals. Managed two of my last six 18s in Belgium before my Eurostar back home
