Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A twelve day trip concentrating on France started with a nice cheap £9.99 flight to Tours where I bought a global ten day InterRail ticket. Friday was concentrating on the locos in and out of Austerlitz and I managed to pick up three Sybics during the day. I stayed in Paris and then the IC eco to Strasbourg and then onto best TER service in France with the Sybics on 200 km/h stock. I did a few 146s around Freiburg and then a couple of Re4/4 before returning to Mulhouse where I was staying for two nights. An early Sybic into Bâle SNCF and then back with quite a few others to get a hired bus to Volgelsheim and a special train with vintage Baldwin diesel 62029 for the run to Embarcadere de Sans-Soucis and back. A combination of buses got us back to Bad Krozingen and then to Spiez to pick up very old BLS 205 on the heritage train to Bern via Belp. I then made my way back to Mulhouse via Colmar. Up to Strasbourg next morning and picked up three new 25000s and then I headed to the RhB and their Nostalgia train with baby Crok 415 on the front, giving me four of the class now. An early start to head back to Zürich and I found the ex SBB 450.070 out which I took to Langnau-Gattikon and back, I then did the other line to Uetliberg. The flirt EMUs looking very off with their offset pantographs. I then went east to Montreux for some lunch then to Genève and winning 22364 to Lyon, for another winner back to Culoz and then to Chambery for one night. It was a busy day next day starting with 22400 to Lyon and a partial west bank diversion via the two crossings at St-Rambert-d'Albon - Peyraud and La Voulte sur-Rhône - Loriol. Once in Marseille I took the fast Bordeaux bound IC which was one of the few trains that took the new line via Montpellier Sud de France, I was expecting a good 160 km/h run on this section, no chance a 137 km/h trundle. Bang on time in Bordeaux for one night stay. Next day to Toulouse and covering the four 7200 turns on the Bayonne IC trains and staying in Lourdes. I returned to Toulouse next morning and covered a few IC turns picking up three new 22000 in the process and then a night in Avignon. I want down to Marseille next day for some travels and then north to Lyon. Into Switzerland next morning, and a profitable trip on BLS and then to Bern and a Re465 to La Chaux de Fonds, and a DMU to Besançon Viotte, EMU to Besançon Franche-Comté TGV, TGV to Mulhouse and a Sybic to Bâle for my last night. Straight to airport next ad and flight home
