Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A short trip to Ireland for the RPSI "The Branch Line Wanderer" special train, I flew from Liverpool - Dublin and back. I just (by seconds!) managed to make to 16.00 from Heuston giving me new 219 to Thurles for new 226 back in which was a good start. The tour on that Saturday produced 071, 074 and 086 with some excellent running on lovely old Cravens stock with opening windows. On the Sunday I went south to Limerick Junction and then on the direct DMU to Galway which finally got me in required track from Ennis - Athenry, it seemed sensible to do it as rumours of it closing again are floating around. Mondays target was 233 which was working out of Connolly, it took some getting after it started late from Belfast and I had assumed it to be cancelled but it wasn't, anyway it kept me on the move!
