Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

Another short trip to Ireland for an 071 tour, but this time a pair! I took the opportunity to get a couple of new airports in as well. I flew from Stansted to Kerry and stayed in Tralee for one night. The next day a few of us sampled some 201s on the Heuston - Cork services and I managed to pick up three winners which was a good result and occupied the day. The Saturday was the day of the "Munster Double" tour with 071+073 in almost original livery and their first ever passenger train in multiple. The train was load nine and there was no short of entertainment especially when the locos were on the north end as we were in coach A. First we went to Cork, then Tralee and back north to Dublin. A most enjoyable day. I flew home from Knock, so a rail replacement bus down to Kildare and then a DMU to Claremorris. I had plenty of time there for some lunch and then the number 64 bus to Knock Airport for flight back to Liverpool to finish the trip
