Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

Another trip to Slovenia had to be slotted in before the PTG Bosnia tour as days were very numbered for Citadella with 664 traction to Hodoš. Sž had kindly agreed as a “farewell” to diesels on this train that it could be 664 throughout the day before the official completion. I flew to Ljubljana the day before the “fix” and there were around forty-five diesel fans there for the run to Hodoš and back with 664.118, thanks to Sž for a great trip. Next day a few of us went for the scenic option and a 363 to Koper and back to Zidani Most and then returned to Ljubljana. The Saturday was another trip to Hodoš with 664 power as the wires were thankfully still not ready. We returned to Celje and then did the steam turn to Imeno and then a night in Poljčane. The Sunday saw a few of us head to Zagreb and make an afternoon trip to Varaždin with 2044 power, load seven on the return. The Bosnia tour started on the Monday, along the main line to Vinkovci and then via Brčko to Tuzla and then on to Zvornik Novi and Brasina and then back to Tuzla for the night. The Tuesday was a straightforward run from Tuzla to Doboj, Sarajevo and then to Mostar thankfully managing a nice photostop on spiral section. The Wednesday was south from Mostar to Čapljina and on to Ploče for an hour. On the return we stopped off in Metković for a while and then continued to Mostar for a five hour stop and resumed our northbound journey to Sarajevo. The next day was on to Banja Luka via Doboj making it quite a short day. The final day was Doboj - Novi Grad and then south to Martin Brod via Bihać stopping off for a superb lunch stop on the way back before making our final section back to Zagreb via Dobrljin. The final full day of the trip saw a few of us head north into Hungary via Gyékényes and Balatonszentgyörgy to Keszthely and the first run of the Ludmilla turn to Szombathely. I stayed as usual in Győr and next morning straight back to Budapest and my Wizzair flight back to Liverpool
