Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

Another trip to Slovenia, this time for our PTG Tour taking Sž 664 power back into what is now Croatian territory. The paperwork and certificates to get 664.116 approved for HŽ took a huge amount of work, but we succeeded! I flew with easyJet to Ljubljana to start the trip off. The first day of our tour took us from Ljubljana - Rijeka, Bakar, Skrljevo and then back into Slovenia and then to Pula, this was most certainly an ambition completed, the first Sž 664.1 to Pula since around 1992? Next day back into Slovenia and a trip down to Koper and into the docks, sadly the sun had gone and the rain came. As usual a great climb back out of Koper and north to Sežana where 644.005 went with us top'n'tail to Villa Opicina, we dropped our 664 of at Sežana on the way back. We continued to Ajdovščina and the north to Most na Soči where we joined up with the Avtovlak for our run to Bohinjska Bistrica for one night. Another trip joined up with the Avtovlak to Most na Soči and then north to Jesenice and then the rare line to Hrušica and then back to Ljubljana via the branch from Kranj - Naklo. Next day I had the morning in Ljubljana and then a 363 to Poljčane and a while at a lovely photo spot 2.2 km north of the station. I then moved on to Hungary, naturally taking Citadella with more 664 power via Hodoš. A Floyd ex BR 86 was stabled at Zalaegerszeg and then I found 630.029 at Szombathely on a train to Budapest! I stayed in Győr for the next six nights doing various trips from there which included getting my last two GySEV Vectrons, the ČD from Znojmo - Břeclav, walking the Komárom / Komárno border crossing and one of the new ZSSK hauled turns into Břeclav. I also got a few new ČD 242 and three new ÖBB 1144, nine to go! I flew back to Luton on a new Wizzair A321
