Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A six day trip to Hungary and Slovenia started with a flight to Budapest and a few nights staying in the capital. First surprise of the trip was finding a ČD 380 working internal trains from Budapest-Keleti - Sopron. I had a few runs with this loco while I was in the area. As always the GySEV system was a pleasure, especially while the Ludmilla are in action but with wires going up quickly between Csorna and Porpác their days are numbered. On the Monday I took big CFR electric power to Békéscsaba and back from Szolnok. Next day after a morning trip to Szob I met Steve and we went straight to Csorna for two Ludmilla runs and then stayed in Győr. Straight to Szombathely next morning and two consecutive Ludmilla runs, taking the Pécs train to Gyékényes. It was then to Zalaegerszeg to pick up Citadella and a good run to Maribor with premier 664 power. We stayed at Poljčane and had a good start with a 363 on IC518 and a new 541 from Zidani Most to Ljubljana. We went to Rakek for 664 freight action and then caught with red junk to Borovnica, thankfully 2752 to Koper was green and real. We returned next morning and thankfully 664.107 was the last drag, sixteen minutes before the wires went live to Rakek. On arrival in Ljubljana we went to Moste depot where we had an official depot visit arranged, then back to the station and after a while the bus to the airport for our flight back home
