Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

It was time for another return to Slovenia for more days of diesel action from Borovnica. We flew with Ryanair and had expected to land in Rijeka, but bad weather saw us diverted to Pula and then a bus to Rijeka. We did early train to Zagreb and I made my way to Ljubljana where I was staying for five nights. The next day saw the first of four early starts to cover RG1605, got off to a very good start with a 664 on load eleven, just to ensure all of Borovnica was wide awake! We continued to Pivka and then returned to Prestranek for a few hours. Then back to Borovnica with MV482 and then MV483 to Logatec for bus back to Ljubljana. A similar move next day but then in a car from mid morning chasing the action and on the Thursday a few hours at Rakek. It was more car chasing on the Friday also. On the Saturday we took the heavy EETC car train from 's-Hertogenbosch - Koper from Ljubljana, 664.110 on around 750 tons was most enjoyable and we almost got overtaken by 664.118 on MV481, but not quite! Did the return journey all way to 's-Hertogenbosch and two nights in Nijmegen. I did quite a few runs with 1700s on the Zwolle - Roosendaal circuit. Managed to catch brand new Traxx MS E186-001 on its first day of trails on NS, and in the sunshine! Flew back home from Eindhoven, another winner airport
