Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A five day trip to Denmark and Germany while freight diversions were on bringing DB class 232/233 locos to Esbjerg for the first time ever! I flew with Ryanair to Billund and then took the bus to Esbjerg where within minutes I saw a 232 leaving on freight to Germany. I spent a few hours on the road bridge above entrance to Esbjerg station, it gave great views and lots of Kolomna and MZ action! Once it got dark it was time to call it a day. Next morning we went to Bramming nice at early for a few photos of freights and then returned to Esbjerg and on the bridge again and then back to Bramming for early afternoon photos. I then moved south to Tønder where I got on 232 and then to Niebüll for three nights. I went straight to Langenhorn for a few hours where evening sun was good on northbound trains. Back to Langenhorn next morning for some nice southbound photos include a 232 making the photo of the trip! I took an early afternoon trip to Westerland and then to Niebüll where got double 232 and then back to Langenhorn where a trackside fire stopped all northbound trains for around two hours. The weather was not so good next day so settled for a few photos then a big MaK DE2700 to Hamburg Altona, and then Itzehoe and another to Hamburg Hbf and back north. I ended up at Langenhorn again for an evening meal and then back to Niebüll. My last day was a quick trip to Westerland and then back to Niebüll and two bus journeys to Ribe, DMU to Esbjerg and bus to Billund for flight back home
