Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A long weekend trip to Germany. I flew to Düsseldorf and made my way to Köln to pick up the 103 diagram on IC118 to Münster (Westf), sadly the turn was a 120 for a few days, although also superb locos quite a few were understandably disappointed by the lack of 103 power. Very early on that Saturday morning we joined a special train from Münster (Westf) - Wernigerode with V200.033 with its real Maybach engines, always a favourite with British hydraulic enthusiasts. On arrival at Wernigerode I bought a ticket to Brocken and took a trip up the hill as there was plenty of sunshine, together with a biting cold wind at the summit. Our return special to Münster (Westf) was assisted by 211.054 after the V200 suffered an engine failure at the end of our outbound journey. I took IC119 south to Stuttgart on the Sunday and after a few local moves it was 103.235 to Wiesbaden to end the day in style. Top'n'tail 143 power took me back to Frankfurt/M Flughafen for my flight back home
