Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A week in Israel and my first visit to the country. I few with Jet2 from Manchester and made way into Tel Aviv - Savidor Center station as we were staying in the Leonardo City Tower hotel right opposite the station. After meeting a local enthusiast we were ready for our stay. We bought a one week season ticket to Lod (valid from any Tel Aviv station) and used this and individual tickets for our travelling. We then spent a few hours on the road bridge at the north end of station getting photos. We then went south to Lod, Ashkelon, Rishon LeTsiyyon - HaRishonim and Hod HaSharon - Sokolov before returning to Tel Aviv. Next day we went north to Acre and then went to the railway museum in Haifa where we had a great visit. Heading back south we spent some time getting photos at Netanya. Next morning we went south the Be'er Sheva - Center and managed a few freight photos in the area and then north to Bet Yehoshu'a for photos. We returned to Bet Yehoshu'a next morning and spent all day there. The Saturday was the day of almost no train action due to the Sabbath and we had a very hot walk to the beach. On the Sunday we went north to Nahariyya and then spent all afternoon in Tel Aviv area and did the new branch to Yavne - West. On the last day we did line to Modi'in - Center and then to the airport. I took easyJet to Genève, have 24 hours there. After a trip to Lausanne I spent a while with camera at Genthod-Bellevue which offered quite good photos. Then back on easyJet and flight to Liverpool and home
