Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

Two weeks in Spain, Portugal & Morocco started with flight from Heathrow to Paris and then south on the "Puerta del Sol" to Spain. We covered a few 333 workings during day and then took "Lusitania Express" from Madrid - Entroncamento where we spend all day covering the various diesel turns. Next day was based around Pampilhosa and the Beira Alta line with MLW and Bombardier quality traction. South overnight to Lisboa and over to Barreiro for a trip to Évora and then around Pinhal Novo. Next day was around Barreiro and then back north to Pampilhosa, then to Porto and then a DMU to Vigo. I covered three 333 turns and then return back to Porto and more diesel action at Pampilhosa again and then "Sud Express" to Medina del Campo and more 333 action. Did the overnight from Madrid - Algeciras and then the boat to Tanger for first ever visit to Morocco. We did some DF moves first and then picked up night train to Oujda for some DH (GT26) action. We did a long out and back trip to Sidi Harazem and then the night train to Rabat and south to Marrakech. It was then north to Casablanca and a hotel at Rabat. North to Tanger next day for the Jetfoil to Tanger and then 319s o the Madrid overnight, a quick 252 trip to Puertollano and then to Salamanca for "Sud Express" and 333 moves and then to Santander for one night. Back to Miranda de Ebro for 333s and then to Madrid and the A Coruña overnight a pair of 333s on load seventeen! I took Vigo portion and then Fridays only RE train to A Coruña with a 333 (this was RENFE's last loco hauled regional train). I then did mammoth run to Tarragona and picked up a 250 on my way into France and overnight to Marseille for a day in the area and then to Toulouse for a 6500 on "Le Capitole" on Grand Confort stock to Paris and flight back home
